DUNCANVILLE POLICE ARE HELPING TO LOCATE STOLEN EXOTIC PARROT

Duncanville Police are investigation the theft of a rare parrot from The Pet Village located at 200 N. Main St. in Duncanville.

On Tuesday morning, an unknown suspect broke into Pet Village and stole Max, a blue and gold macaw that has been a local fixture at the pet store for 28 years.

According to Stephanie Roberts, owner of The Pet Village, Max is a local celebrity. \u201c(Max) has become the store mascot, and we have many people that come here just to visit him,\u201d said Roberts who added that they are offering a $1,000 reward for his safe return.
